recent stuff

"amy c."
oil & acrylic on canvas
2007
i've always had a fascination with smokers. i've tried for years to pick up the habit, but it's just too hard. i guess between biting my nails and chewing my lips, i have enough freudian fixations happening.

"grandma"
acrylic on canvas
24" x 40"
2006
this woman kicks ass. she's a hero of mine, and not only because she's half spider.

"v foundation charity skate deck"
spray paint, acrylic, & ink on skate deck
2006
who would have thought a charitable, cancer-fighting organization could piss me off so much? i would have, that's who.

done?

okay, got most of the crap up and took the site live. while going through my old links, i found that about a third of my friends from college no longer pay their web hosting bills and are probably a bunch of rotten drunks. on the bright side, okan and jon have blogs of their own now. coolie.

take this, it's all i have on me:

foolin' around with some guys modding the hl2 source engine. made this guy for them:

requires DiVX to view.

4023 triangles. what? - it's a shooter...

old 3d animations

this guy was a blast to build. i've really taken a liking to constructing functioning systems in 3dsmax. there are a couple lighting and clipping issues, but i'm far to lazy to fix them.

a trio of dungeon dwellers based on my roomates and i. they face the same ol' challenges as everyone else - avoiding paying rent, getting robbed by adventurers, and smoking pot with the dragon next door. and much like us, their existences went nowhere.

my first animated character, and the source of the sixth kingdom stuff. i've been mildly obsessed with myrmecology ever since watching them carry away my leftovers through the cracks of grandma's driveway. i just realized i later painted her portrait as a spider-person...

just found these old pics i did for the gang i used to play city of villains with. it was a fun challenge to make decent illustrations from in-game models. at the time i thought some of the guys needed better costumes - but really, you can make anything look cool.

lost sketches

I won't say how old these are, but I just found them under a book. Maybe I should clean more.

I'll give you a clue. I was still working on Pirates!

I'm switching over to a blog-style website in order to make updating less painful. When it takes at least an hour to add content to your site, you tend to put it off completely. So from now on, I VOW TO PUT EVERY PIECE OF ARTWORK I PRODUCE ON THIS SITE! Plus, this way, people can comment.

Now to upload all the old stuff somehow, and figure out a way to do thumbnails or galleries, or something.
